The Imperial Valley in California is a huge agricultural area that provides year round crops of grain, vegetables and hay for distribution around the world.

I am always intrigued by old buildings and signs because they tell a story of better times. I like to think of what it must have been like when the buildings were new and the signs freshly painted. I also like to think that someday the area’s prosperity, vitality and pride will be rekindled and these icons will be preserved or revived for a second life.
