How the West was Fed
How the West was Fed
The Imperial Valley is really the “Horn of Plenty” for the United States. It’s actually difficult to find out much abut the history here because it is so clouded by what happened here at the beginning of the 20th Century. That would be the accidental creation of the Salton Sea. [I’m hoping to address that on a later album but I need to do a lot more research]
BUT Imperial Valley has some incredible history, including the creation of an “Inland Sea.”
For now, I just offer images of some of the machines that made “your” local “Produce Departments” possible.
It didn’t come easy and it never would have happened without these implements and places that follow.

I think the Slide Show is the best.
